The stocking rate has ranged from 275 to 300 pair. Even though there is not a lot of wooded area on the ranch there is enough along the creek and streams to allow cover for deer to come through the ranch.  The neighboring land to the west is the Gruber Game Management Area, having several hundred acres of forest.  Some really nice bucks have been harvested on the property.
